Lance R. Shaw

Glocester – Lance R. Shaw, 57, of Chepachet, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 11, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Jeannine M. (Allard) Shaw for 36 years. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of Joseph Shaw and the late Lois (Smith) Hunt. He was the stepson of the late Herbert Hunt. Lance was self employed. He was actively involved in coaching the Coventry Girl’s Softball League for many years having led the team to a National Title in 2001. Lance was also involved in the Tolman High School Class of 1973, reunion planning committee. Besides his loving wife, he leaves three daughters, Lori A. Smith and her husband, Daniel of Canterbury, CT, Kimberly A. Shaw of Manville and Dawn M. Shaw of Coventry; four grandchildren, Ethan and Brielle Coulombe and Olivia and Samuel Smith; two sisters, Lauren (Victor) Harris in North Carolina, Leslie (Steve) Adalio in Florida; a brother, Lee (Kim) Hunt of Pawtucket and many nieces and nephews. He was the son-in-law of Leona (Fournier) Allard and the late Norman Allard. His funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Mt. St. Mary Cemetery. VISITATION will be Thursday 5 – 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Memorial Hospital of RI, Cancer Center, 111 Brewster St., Pawtucket, RI 02860 will be appreciated.
